2018/19 // End of Season Review

Well, after a hectic season of highs and lows, 2018/19 is over. Manchester City finished top of the Premier League, 1 point ahead of Liverpool. Meanwhile, at the other end of the table, Huddersfield, Fulham and Cardiff have been relegated to the Championship, to be replaced by Norwich, Sheffield United and whoever wins the Championship play-offs this month.
Even as an Everton fan, I have to give credit to Liverpool, who have had an incredible season and exceeded all expectations, with only 1 loss and an astonishing 97 points! Van Dijk, Mané, Salah and Alisson are just a few of the players at Liverpool who have performed excellently this season, and deserve credit for their hard work.
However, Manchester City have shown yet again that they are unstoppable. Despite losses to Crystal Palace and Leicester in December, they redeemed themselves after a 2-1 win against Liverpool, and have done exceptionally well to overcome a 7-point deficit against a nearly faultless Liverpool team.
I can only congratulate the two teams, as they have both gave us a very entertaining title race - one of the best in the last few years!
Best of luck to all PL teams next season, and let’s hope that it can live up to 2018/19!
